It has been the custom for Her Majesty's High Sheriff of Dyfed to bestow an honorary distinction upon individuals and organisations who have made a significant contribution to charity and voluntary work within the community.
This year the Ty Cymorth Hospice Appeal has had the honour of being chosen as one of the organisations to receive such an award. The selection was made by the new High Sheriff, Professor Medwin Hughes, DL, FRSA, FLSW. The award will be presented on 19th October 2016 at the Halliwell Centre, University of Wales Trinity St David's Carmarthen campus.
