A successful Coffee Morning was held at the Community Centre, Myddfai, on Saturday, June 18th. It was opened by Dr. Robin Lewis Jones (Royal Marsden Hospital), who was brought up at Llwyn Meredydd, Myddfai. The Coffee Morning brought in £231.00 for the Appeal Fund and raised awareness of Ty Cymorth and the services provided in the neighbourhood of Myddfai.
At the AGM held on June 16th in the Boardroom, Glangwili Hospital, the President, Dr Mark Turtle, presented the Trustees' Annual Report and outlined the purpose and the achievements of the Appeal over the last year. He paid tribute to the work of Nan Michael, Senior Nurse, Ty Cymorth Day Care, who has recently retired after many years in post. He also thanked all those involved with the Appeal for their commitment and hard work.
The Treasurer submitted the audited Financial Report. The Secretary's report outlined the fundraising activities held during the year. The AGM concluded with the election of officers. The present team were re-elected for a further year, namely, Dr Turtle, President and Chair of Trustees; Mrs Rhiannon Owen, Secretary of Trustees; Mr David Harris, Treasurer of Trustees and Fundraising Committee. Fundraising Committee: Mrs Ann Morgan, Chair; Mrs Elizabeth Griffin, Vice Chair; Mr Emlyn Schiavone,Secretary. Mr Andrew Thomas continues as Webmaster and Ann Morgan and Liz Griffin would continue to share the duties of Press Secretary. |
